Thank you for your interest in judging the Massachusetts History Day Regional South Shore Competition at Foxborough High School on Saturday, March 7th 2020!
Do you love history? Do you love talking with young people about the past? Massachusetts History Day is looking for history enthusiasts from all walks of life to talk with young historians in grades 6-12. These students perform extensive research, analyze primary sources, and present their findings through papers, exhibits, performances, websites, and documentaries. Judging is key to the success of Massachusetts History Day program, and a fantastic way to connect with students, support your community, and learn about history.
Judges at a regional or state contest evaluate the work of young researchers studying topics related to an annual theme. They work on teams to review entries in a specific category, interview students, and provide written feedback. Judges will also select which projects advance from the Regional to State and National levels of competition. The MHD South Shore Competition takes place on Saturday, March 7th, and will be a 5-6 hour time commitment; teachers will receive PDPs for their participation as well. You will receive training on the day of the competition, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
If you would like to judge at the South Shore competition, please fill out the following information and we will be in touch with more details soon! If you are interested in judging but prefer to volunteer at a different location, check out our Contest Information page to learn more about our other regional competitions (

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to celebrating history with you!
