The Village School - Summer Program Interest Form

The Village School summer program will take a hands on approach to providing a perfect antidote to a year of distance and hybrid learning revolving around our school’s values and philosophy. The program runs from July 6th to August 6th, and will meet Monday-Thursdays from 8:30AM to 11:30AM.

This summer program will be like no other! The students will build upon their knowledge of science, math, reading, and the arts through hands-on projects, engaging literature, and guest visitors. Since taking field trips is challenging we will bring presenters from places such as the Science Museum, Nearby Nature, Maude Kerns Art Center, City of Eugene, and others. The summer program will culminate with each child creating a portfolio of their adventures and studies.

Please complete this form if any of your Village School students (grades 1-8 next year) would like to participate this Summer's complimentary summer program. These programs are funded by a combination of grants from Oregon Department of Education.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Please plan to have your child on campus from 8:30-11:30, Monday through Thursday. We know that your summer will be busy with other adventures, but it’s important to plan for 4-days per week attendance so teachers can better plan their lessons, prepare supplies and manage small group work.  We prefer that your child attend the full 5-week program, yet understand you may already be signed up for other activities. If you know your child cannot attend one or two weeks of our program, please inform us of those dates in the comment section of this form. We are requiring no less than a 3 week commitment for participation.
