Hampton Pool & Bushy Park - Monday 15th July

On Monday 15th July children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be enjoying our annual end-of-year trip to Hampton Pool for a swim, followed by a picnic in Bushy Park.

Outlined below are the details. Please read them very carefully and complete the details below as soon as possible. We can only take children who have permission. We rely heavily on parent support on this type of event, if you are able to help please let us know.

Each year group will have their own swimming session. We will return to school before 3.20 and the children will be dismissed in the usual way. The details are as follows:

Year 3
Leaving school at 09.00
Swimming 09.45–10.15
Bushy Park 10.30–13.00

Year 4
Leaving school at 09.30
Swimming 10.15-10.45
Bushy Park 11.00–13.30

Year 5
Leaving school at 10.00
Swimming 10.45–11.15
Bushy Park 11.30–14.00

Year 6
Leaving school at 10.30
Swimming 11.15–12.00
Bushy Park 12.15–14.30

Unfortunately we do not have use of the learner pool this year. If your child is a non-swimmer or not a confident swimmer they will be taking part in other activities at the poolside. It is important that all children are in school on Monday 15th July by 8.45am. There will be a member of staff in school until 9.30am to take any children, who for a special reason, could not get to school by the usual time. Children who normally have hot lunches will be provided with a packed lunch. This will include a carton of drink but please supply plenty of water. Would all other children please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. No glass bottles of cans, please.

The children need to bring a towel, sun hat, suntan lotion (preferably waterproof), a waterproof coat and a water bottle.

It would be helpful if as many parents as possible could assist in escorting the children to and from the pool, and we hope that many parents will come along to watch. Refreshments will be on sale.

I must ask all parents to remain in the spectators’ gallery at all times during the event and not buy additional drinks or ice creams for their children. Children will not be allowed to have food or drinks during the event, and must not eat their lunch until the picnic in Bushy Park. (No glass bottles or cans please). In the interests of safety I must request that parents do not allow small children to join their brothers and sisters in the pool area, and that parents do not invite their children to join them in the gallery.
