Our volunteers consist of many people from different backgrounds, ages, and qualifications. Helping others can be a rewarding experience! Some of our volunteers are also earning college credit through classes at SIU in the psychology, social work, and health education departments.
Most of our volunteers work a 3 hour shift on a weekly basis. All of our volunteers go through a training process supervised by one of our directors. Duties range from answering phones, dispersing donations, and helping clients one-on-one who find themselves in a difficult situation. Clarity Women's Care provides free and confidential pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, and pregnancy options education.
Although Clarity Women's Care does not provide or refer for abortions, we understand that all women facing a pregnancy decision deserve to be treated with compassion, respect, and honesty. We want women facing an unexpected pregnancy to be able to make a fully informed decision regarding their pregnancy options. All volunteers must be able to show compassion and grace to women, no matter their decision.
If you have a calling to help those in need, please complete this application. Client Advocates must be at least 21 years of age.
