Introduction to Effective Altruism Guided Discussion Group

💡Welcome to the application for the 4-Week Introduction to Effective Altruism Discussion Group! This group aims to provide a foundation for understanding the core principles and actionable paths in Effective Altruism philosophy and practice.  📅 The next round of discussions begin the week of the 25th September.

📝 This application should take no more than 5 minutes to complete

✅ If are accepted you will be matched with 3/4 other participants and an experienced facilitator.

💬 You will then coordinate a time that suits you all to meet each week for an approximately one hour long discussion. 

📖 Each week there will be core readings and exercises to be completed before that week’s discussion. The readings and exercise shouldn’t take more than one hour to complete.

📚 There are further readings available each week if you are particularly interested in that week's topic. Any books mentioned in further reading are available at our library

💸 At the end of the 4 weeks, there will be a project with prize money available
