The Flavors of Japanese Whisky & Filipino Artisan Chocolate
Mark your calendar this Saturday, June 26, as we will embark on a memorable virtual tasting masterclass about Japanese Whisky and Artisan Dark Chocolate crafted in the Philippines !
Our guest speakers Francis T. Hasegawa - Japanese Whisky Specialist of LIT Whisky & Spirits - will guide us to appreciate the complexity and expressiveness of unique Japanese whiskies while Rex Puentespina - Chocolate Maker of Malagos Chocolate - will take us to Mindanao to enjoy his Artisan Dark Chocolate.
To celebrate the recent popularity of Japanese whisky, we will explore its main categories - Blended, Single Grain & Single Malt - and discover the craft of world class distilleries producing these sophisticated spirits.
We will also appreciate a selection of Dark Chocolates to be paired with the Whiskies and make our own Highball like a pro under the direction of Francis T. Hasegawa !
Each participant will receive 5 samples of Japanese Whisky (50ml each) and a selection of 4 Dark Chocolates (20g each) to enjoy this exclusive virtual masterclass.
As for the whisky selection, we will taste the following:
- Suntory Kakubin (Blended, 40%)
- Mars IWAI Blue (Blended, 40%)
- Nikka From The Barrel (Blended, 51,4%)
- Chita (Single Grain, 43%)
- Matsui Sakura (Single Malt, 48%)
