When? From 12pm Saturday 9th until 12pm on Sunday 10th of July

Where? A field next to the Fulbourn Fen Nature reserve at the end of Stonebridge Lane

Who's it for? Families with children at Fulbourn primary school, including siblings if they are pre-school or recent graduates.

What if I've never camped before? We have a few tents that you can borrow if you need to, let us know in the sign-up sheet if you need to borrow one.

Cost?  £10 per adult and £5 per child includes BBQ dinner on Saturday evening, breakfast on Sunday, activities and facilities. Please talk with the school if your child has pupil premium and need help with the costs.

How do I sign up? Fill in the online form to register your place before 1st of June, first come first served, payment will be collected later.



Dear Parents and Carers,

The school camp is back! Those of you that have been before will know what great fun this annual event is. Run by the Men In Schools group the camp is for all the family.

We organise competitions, games and workshops. There is food from the BBQ, a campfire, marshmallows, guitar playing and almost certainly water fights! In short it's a whole lot of FUN for everyone (we have tents which those without can use for the weekend).

We are happy to announce that this year’s camp will again take place in Long Acre field on the Fulbourn Manor Estate, close to the nature reserve.

There will be no back up date, and in the unlikely event the camp cannot go ahead, refunds will unfortunately not be able to be provided.

We will set up the marquee and provide dinner and a hearty breakfast for all. There will be many fun games and activities and we have lottery funded tents available for those who do not have their own.

Important considerations:
 - the campsite field is large
 - the campsite is reasonably easily accessible by the public
 - there are many potential hazards such as uneven ground
 - cars will not be allowed on site
 - your children should be under your supervision at all times

Our camp rules are included in the form and we ask you to read them carefully before you sign.

The cost for this year’s camp is much cheaper than last time: £10 for adults, £5 for children. Please note that this fee is applicable even if you are not camping overnight as the costs are for the food, activities, toilets and fuel. A big thank you to Fulbourn TESCO for helping subsidise the food costs.

The camp is run purely by volunteers from the Fulbourn “Men in School” group and we’d welcome your help with both setup, and a rota during the event including food prep and cleaning up. Note - the whole family is welcome to the camp, not just dads.

If you want to join us, we would be grateful if you could complete the online form by 1st June 2022. If the camp is oversubscribed we will let those who have been unsuccessful know by mid June. Payment details to follow.

9th July 2022
10:00 - Volunteers arrive to set up the site, if you can help us, please come along to the field. Volunteers can also setup their own tent on Friday night.
11:00-12:00 - Saturday Arrivals - kit transport by Landrover & Trailer from Fulbourn Centre,
Bring your own lunch.
12:00 - pitch your tent / unpack
13:00 - Camp welcome and activities begin (details to follow)
18:00 - BBQ dinner (bring your plates, cutlery, cups)
19:00 - Evening activities and camp fire
22:00 - Quiet time

10th Jul 2022
08:00 - Breakfast followed by packup and a few more activities and dismantling the campsite. We have lots to dismantle, this year, so we would really appreciate everyone’s help to dismantle the site
11:00 - 12:00 - Departures - kit transport by Landrover & Trailer to Fulbourn Centre
12:00 - all home for lunch and a shower and to enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
