LGBTQ+ Leadership Series Sign Up
These two-hour workshops will center LGBTQ+ identities as they relate to leadership strategies and concepts. The aim of this series is to equip LGBTQ+ student leaders with tools for personal flourishing, community organizing, and collective action.

All workshops will be held in the LGBTQ Center, located on the third floor of Newcomb.

Session 1- Selfhood: In the first session of the LGBTQ Center's leadership series, we'll talk about what LGBTQ+ identities have to do with leadership, and why being your fullest self can make you an effective leader. Guests from the UVA Career Center will lead activities to identify personal strengths and strategies for community building

Session 2- Flourishing: What does it mean to live well? What does being LGBTQ+ have to do with finding fulfillment? We'll explore the concept of "flourishing" from the lenses of gender, sexuality, and romantic orientation. Guests from the UVA Women's Center and CAPS will lead a workshop on strategies for body positivity and self-affirmation.

Session 3- Voice and Power:  In this session, we'll talk about ways to tell your story to inspire and motivate people around you. Your voice is a powerful tool for self discovery and communal inspiration. Activities will focus on different ways of telling your story in affirming and impactful ways.
