OCCA Mat Grant Application
Please complete this application by December 1st, 2020. Winner of the OCCA Mat Grant will be notified by January 12th, 2021. To be eligible for the mat grant, schools must be the following criteria:
1. Coach must be a current member of OCCA.
2. Administration approval (Principal and/or Athletic Director) is required from each applicant.
3. If OCCA is in need of mats for an event and the event is close to the winning school location
(within reason), arrangements will be made for OCCA to borrow the mats if needed.
4. School must not currently own actual cheer mats / floor. Wrestling mats or fold out tumbling
mats do NOT count as cheer mats.
5. School / winning cheer program will pay for shipping charges to OCCA prior to OCCA ordering
mats for delivery. Shipping charges can run between $300-$600
6. School will receive three traditional blue cheer mats, amount will not exceed $2,000.
7. OCCA Executive Board will select winning school at the January 2021 board meeting.
8. OCCA will order and pay for the mats and mats will be shipped to the school.
9. School administration and Head Coach will make arrangements for accepting delivery.
10. The winning school will take ownership of the mats upon delivery.
11. One team per year will be awarded the OCCA Mat Grant.
12. OCCA will not replace mats and is not responsible for any damages to the mats once delivery is
complete.
13. School must be active in one or more OCCA Events such as One Day Clinics, All-State, OCCA
Championships, Conference, or Game Day Championships. (this is not applicable to the 2021 winner due to COVID)
