CKC Good Food looks forward to hosting groups for an educational field trip at our central commissary. Groups must be at least 12 people total and no more than 24. During this lunchtime event (11 a.m.-12:45 p.m.), students (grades 4-12), parents and staff members can:
- Tour our commercial kitchen and massive warehouse and cold-storage facility
- Be introduced to careers in food service
- Learn about nutritional guidelines for federal meal programs
- Participate in a taste test of new recipes we're considering for our menus
At this time, we're scheduling field trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through May 23.
