JCYC SF Stem Academy Volunteering Form
Hi, Thank you for your interest in volunteering with high school youth at Galileo and/or Balboa High School. We are excited to be working with you to provide opportunities for valuable work and skills-based training for the students.

SF Stem Academy is a JCYC workforce development and academic high school program where we strive to enrich students with STEM-based programming and opportunities. Students attend weekly workshops throughout the school year centered around STEM-based curriculum, academic support, college access, workforce development, and wellness. During the summer, students are placed in an 8-10 week summer internship program at a local San Francisco STEM-based business where they gain valuable job experience and skills. Youth are paid for all their time throughout the year. The STEM program is at Balboa High School and Galileo High School, serving about 40 youth of different ages, grades, and backgrounds, focusing on youth from low-income families and first generation youth.

The main ways you can help our youth through our program are by teaching workshops and providing internship opportunities.
