We’d be looking for you to be a panel member on only one of the sessions. If you are interested in taking part please let us know which dates and times would work for you. If multiple dates and times work please let us know, this will help us greatly in getting the right mix of alumni on each panel.  

If you select more than one date/time we will confirm which session you have been assigned to support. We’d be grateful if you can reserve the time in your diary for any sessions you’ve indicated that you are available for to keep the time free.

Biography - Example


Please provide us with a short biography which we can include in promotion of the session and for prospective students to prepare questions for you. This should be around 100 words and could include the following:

- Your current role and main responsibilities
- An outline of your career journey since graduation, including how you secured your first relevant role
- How your qualification, or time at Sheffield, has helped in your career

Example bio:

Anita Dafeta is a cultural visionary who aims to immortalise African heritage and culture through African art and blockchain technology. Her company, Origho Lagos is acting as a bridge between the physical and digital art worlds, re-introducing traditional African art using modern technology while empowering local African artisans in various crafts particularly Nigerian bronze casters in the ancient Kingdom of Benin. The company has since received both local and international recognition, winning various accelerator programs and awards such as the prestigious Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF) and the She Leads Africa (SLA) award.

Eligibility for the Programme - If any of the following statements apply, you are NOT eligible to apply to become an Alumni Panels volunteer with this cycle (2023/24):

I have a relative (e.g. child, grandchild, sibling, cousin, niece, nephew) who will be applying to The University of Sheffield this cycle.

I will also be volunteering for a similar programme for another college or university's international admissions office.

I work as a paid university counsellor or postgraduate admissions officer. None of the above apply.

We collect alumni career profiles to support and inspire prospective and current students. Alumni profiles appear in University prospectuses, departmental websites and alumni publications.
