GRCB BEATS Band Coach Application Fall 2021
Girls Rock Campaign Boston is looking for volunteers to support GRCB BEATS at Gardner Pilot Academy in Allston this fall!

GRCB BEATS is our in-school after-school program. During BEATS girls and youth with expansive gender identities create music electronically, write and perform original songs, record, create music videos and so much more! We are excited to extend our mission of empowering youth through music education and performance into local schools.

Volunteers act as band-coaches to duos or trios of young musicians and support them on their creative journey. You do not need to have any experience with electronic music to volunteer for this program.

GRCB BEATS @ Gardner: Mondays, 2:30-4:00, Gardner Pilot Academy, Allston. September 27 - December 13.

Youth who attend GRCB BEATS come from a wide range of economic experiences, ethnic identities, gender identities, & neighborhoods, and more than half self-identify as youth of color. We strive to create a volunteer base that reflects this diversity, and strongly encourage people of color, people who are gender non-binary and/or trans, and any folks who come from traditionally oppressed experiences to become volunteers and mentors for Girls Rock Campaign Boston. We ALL need role models.

This is a direct service role that requires a CORI background check.

As of August 2021 this is an in-person position, this is subject to change based on school and CDC guidelines.
