Laundry Use at Fire's Community Store
Hey you! We are so happy you took a step to take care of you; participating in Fire's Free Community Store by doing your laundry!

If you are between the age of 13-21 years old you are eligible to use our laundry supplies (washer, dryer, and detergent available) during our free store days & hours. Laundry use will be available by appointment after our  Drop- in Laundry Hours (open to youth or a youth's family member from 1-2pm if they do not complete this form and come to the store at 1pm). 
Please fill out this form and you will receive a confirmation email with details. Please note that if you are aged 18 and under you may be accompanied by an adult/guardian while doing a load of laundry at Fire. However, if  you are not accompanied by an adult/guardian, Fire staff will be available for the entire duration of the store and you will need to remain in the space while your laundry is going! Don't worry you'll be occupied possibly by fun adult allies, you can shop for free resources & clothes in the store, and can just chill watch tv in the space, read a book, or maybe you even play around with the organ that is in the space! You're welcome to bring something from home to keep you occupied as well.

light snacks and water will be available :)



Some things about our Free Community Store:

Fire's youth led mutual aid project in collaboration with youth scholars from Confident S.O.L.E.

This is the first time we are holding space for physical distribution of resources in this form and we are learning as we go with a rooted understanding of systemic barriers, the realities and nuances of navigating houselessness, lack of necessary resources, safety and cleanliness. 

When doing laundry you will have access to these types of detergent: 

Gain, original
Seventh Generation, lavender scent
Target Brand on & on, unscented sensitive skin
Oxi Clean

When we sanitize donations we spray our clothes with color-safe Clorox sanitizer spray and we highly recommend spraying your clothes before putting a load in!
