SI Arts Project Grant applications are reviewed by community grant panels composed of professional artists, scholars, arts administrators, teachers of the arts and humanities, civic and business leaders, and community representatives. Grant panelists carefully review grant proposals, then meet as a group to discuss and vote on the proposals, based on a predetermined evaluation criteria.
Panelists are expected to read application materials and review work samples ahead of the panel meeting. Panel meetings are generally held on weekends and range from 3-5 hours depending on the number of applications to be reviewed.
Selected panelists will receive an honorarium for their panel service.
If you are interested in serving on an SI Arts grant panel, or would like to nominate another person to be a panelist, please fill out the nomination form below. Sending in your information does not guarantee that you will be contacted in an upcoming cycle, but your materials will remain on file and you will continue to be considered in the future.
