Dear Colleagues,
As a part of the NSAC Long Range Planning process, the
upcoming Town Hall Meeting on Nuclear Structure, Reactions and Astrophysics
will be held November 14-16, 2022 at Argonne National Laboratory.
Information can be found at
https://indico.phy.anl.gov/event/22/ .
There will be a working group session on Facilities,
Instruments, and Upgrades. This announcement is to solicit community
contributions in this area. As you can
see below, we are currently preparing a program encompassing the breadth of such
activities across the community. In the spirit of Town meetings, we would like
to encourage short presentations from anyone whose activities are not
represented by these areas, in order to achieve as complete a picture as
possible.
The topics identified thus far are:
- FRIB INSTRUMENTATION & FRIB UPGRADE
- ATLAS PLANS (accelerator & equipment)
- ARUNA facilities (accelerators and instrumentation)
- 88 INCH CYCLOTRON: SHE research and application
- TARGET NEEDS
- COMMUNITY DETECTORS: GRETA, FDSi/FDS, GODDESS/ORRUBA
- OTHER DETECTORS: Suggestions from all welcome
- NEW INITIATIVES: Suggestions from all welcome
Your suggestions are welcome by November 1.
