Welcome, we're so excited you've decided to audition for Penn Jazz! Our auditions consist of playing and improvising over a prepared piece as well as sight reading a head and changes. You should prepare a jazz standard and will be asked to play the head and then improvise over the piece, accompanied by a small combo of our members. You will then be given a jazz standard and be asked to sightread the head and improvise over the changes, accompanied by this same combo. More detailed audition information specific to each instrument can be found here.
