Parent Acceptable Use Policy 2021-2022
Our Lady of Lourdes School provides a range of technology for student use. Using technology is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked if abused. The user is personally responsible for his/her actions in accessing and utilizing the school's computer resources. Use of the Internet at Our Lady of Lourdes will be limited to activities that support learning and enhance instruction.

Expected Behavior
 Request permission from the supervising teacher before using ANY workstation at school.
 Use the provided resources for schoolwork only, no personal work.
 Use all devices carefully and responsibly.
 Access only approved sites that contain information necessary for the completion of the assigned
task.
 Respect copyright laws.
 Do not damage or tamper with hardware or software.
 Publish only factual information appropriate to the assigned task.
 Keep all personal information, except for first name, confidential.

Consequences for Violating this Agreement
 Warning
 1st Written Offense: lose all online privileges for 1 week*
 2nd Written Offense: lose all online privileges for 1 month*
 3rd Written Offense: student must appeal to administration and technology staff representatives to
have privileges reinstated.

*Students who have lost online privileges may not access the Internet on school campus and will need to
complete any assignments requiring Internet use at home or in another manner.*
Additional Consequences for Intentional Offensive Content Search or Online Bullying
Students will face all consequences outlined in the student discipline policy for these offenses and the above consequences should not be seen as substituting for those outlined in the discipline policy.

****Failure to follow this Internet Acceptable Use Policy will result in losing access privileges for a period of time or permanently.****
