Rochester Youth Science Club (RYSC) Volunteer Sign up (2022-2023)
The Rochester Young Scientist Club is a partnership between the University of Rochester Medical Center and The Rochester City School district, serving 3 schools and approximately 60 kids from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds.  Students are bused from their homes to the medical school for 9 Saturday sessions from 10am-12pm between October and March.  Each session is led by a team of University of Rochester graduate students and medical students, and involves a science lesson and hands on experiment. 

 Below are the dates listed for the RYSC 2022-2023 academic year!


October 15th, 2022 : Intro to the Scientific Process
October 29th, 2022 : Mini medical school  (Special visit by UR physicians)  
November 19th, 2022: Experiment #1 TBD
December 10th, 2022: Experiment #2 TBD
January 14th, 2023  Experiment #3 TBD
January 21st, 2023 : Independent Project planning day 
February 4th, 2023: Independent Project research day 
February 11th, 2023: Independent Project write up day
March 11th, 2022: RYSC/STEP Community Day - Presentation of independent project day
