#The1HourProject Submissions
Hosted by Emily Loar and Ashley Deran of Project Bound Dance, the One Hour Project (#the1hourproject) is an exercise in collaboration and concision that gives Chicago choreographers and videographers 60 minutes to shoot the footage for a 60 second dance film in a unique Chicago space.

In an effort to build in-person creative relationships between Chicago's dance and film artists in this digital era, Bound's mission is to foster learning through experimentation, facilitate new introductions, and highlight interesting spaces within the city of Chicago.

HOW THIS WORKS:
Selected artists will be matched in groups of three: one choreographer, one video artist, and one dancer. Like an artsy blind date, teams won’t be given the opportunity to plan ahead of time other than communication regarding location and any basic costume requests. Bound will do their best to honor specific location requests, and will schedule production based on mutual availability.

Curated groups will have 60 minutes (timed!) to discuss, create, and record their vision. Participating video artists will edit resulting footage into a 1 minute dance film. Once approved, finalized One Hour Projects will be shared on social media and stored on Project Bound Dance's Vimeo page. All 2022 films will be presented at a fall event (to be announced).

Applications are due by May 30th. Selected artists will be notified the following week. Projects will be filmed in July 2022.

There is no fee to apply. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the1hourproject@gmail.com
