Troy High School Cyber Defense Camp Summer 2024 Registration Form
Troy High School proudly hosts the LARGEST Cyber Defense camps in the nation with over 350 students attending each year. This summer, we will be offering 12-hour camps on campus over a 2-week period (Monday through Thursday) with an option of either an AM session (from 9am - 12pm) or a PM session (from 1pm to 4pm) for incoming 6th graders and up who attend school in the United States.

JULY 15 - 18: For Returning Campers or CyberPatriot Competitors ONLY. Experience is Required!
Students who have participated in Basic Camp last summer OR has at least 1 year of CyberPatriot competition experience during the school year can choose one of three experienced camps:
  • Advanced Windows Camp
  • Advanced Linux Camp
  • Advanced Cisco Camp
Each advanced camp consists of a basic overview/review of the specialty on Day 1 followed by an accelerated version of our basic Fall practices on Days 2 and 3 that will lead to a mini-competition on Day 4 that is similar to a Round 2 CyberPatriot competition in terms of difficulty.

JULY 22 - 25: For New Campers ONLY. No Experience is Required!
Students who are new to cybersecurity or have interest in it can participate in our popular Basic Camp where they will learn about the basics of cybersecurity and networking on Day 1, Windows security on Day 2, and Linux security on Day 3. On Day 4, there will be a mini-competition where students will compete in teams for prizes.

REGISTRATION PROCESS & COSTS
All camps cost $160 each. Scholarships are available for the following students (these cannot be combined):
  • Diversity scholarships covering 50% of camp costs are available for students who are underrepresented in STEM according to the NSF: females, Hispanics or Latinos, Blacks or African Americans, and American Indians or Alaska Natives.
  • Need-based scholarships covering 100% of camp costs are available for a limited number of students with documented financial needs.
Troy Cyber is looking to have at least two cleared parent volunteers to supervise each of our classrooms during camp to ensure that we are meeting state mandates. Parents do not need to supervise the same room their child is in. If a parent supervises all 12 hours of camp in a week, their child's camp fee will be refunded to them at the end of camp. This will be based on need until all spots are filled.

This form must be filled out for each individual student. If you have any questions, please email troycybercamp@gmail.com.
