As you may know, APAMSA's Mental Health Branch organizes and maintains a
mental health resource document with both general services and organizations focusing on AANHPI mental health. This year, one of our main goals is to expand the document to include more information about local resources (organized by APAMSA regions), as well as mental health providers who identify as AANHPI and/or have specialized experience addressing the mental health needs of AANHPI clients and patients. Additionally, g
iven that the demand for mental health services greatly exceeds the supply of practitioners, we feel that it is important that we have accurate and up-to-date information on the availability of these resources, such as whether a provider has openings for new clients.
Therefore, we would like to involve national and regional APAMSA officers, as well as all APAMSA members, in the process of growing and tailoring our resource document. Please feel free to share any mental health resources you know of or may have personally found useful (submissions are anonymous). This can include but is not limited to: AANHPI mental health providers in your area, AANHPI mental health research studies looking for participants, national or local AANHPI mental health advocacy organizations, virtual resources, resources for specific populations (ex. refugees, LGBTQ+), etc.
Please contact Julie Kim at
mentalhealth@apamsa.org for any questions or concerns about the mental health resource document. Thank you so much!
