if you like the idea of a Lisbon Newcomers Welcome Club, and other initiatives to increase social cohesion  and want to help or partner with us thank you. 

Please join and sign up. I've run events all over the world, and since  Q4 2021, we have held 24 well received Lisbon Newcomers Welcome Club with events  in co-living spaces and clubs.

Being a volunteer is not paid, but it is a commitment as other people will be relying on you. If you join the team then you should prioritise events over your social life, or integrate your social life into our events. If you are not comfortable with that level of commitment, you are not really part of the team. Things worth doing are worth  committing to.

If you have an community project that will be of benefit to our community, we may well be interested in some kind of partnership. 

Newcomers Clubs are both for people who are new in town, and those who want to welcome them.

They are distinctive compared to a regular meet up in that there are games and integration activities that make it easy to meet new people.

We work on the assumption that if our events work for a somewhat shy person, they will work for self confident people as well.

The idea of a Newcomers Welcome club was spun off from the launch of Village in the City - Krakow. The idea of Village in the City world wide is to maintain and sustain the community spirit that sometimes emerged during Covid and help build back better and stronger than before..
