Climate Change knows no boundaries; As nations – developing and developed – trace the path of economic recovery, the global energy landscape and markets are being radically reshaped. Companies are rapidly raising their commitments to build net-zero, environmentally conscious and socially responsible value chains.  

Progress on achieving ESG targets and driving the economy towards decarbonization relies on the leadership of governments to set clear policy standards and that of businesses to provide the technology, innovation and resources to achieve these targets.  

As the Global Energy Transition Architectures change, Andhra Pradesh is poised to evolve as Mid-Stream Green Hub for industries, stewarding solutions towards net zero by way of sustainable governance practices. With established renewable sources of 5GW Solar and On-shore Wind energy installations, Andhra Pradesh takes pride in integrating the clean energy resources to likes of 100 GwH Large Scale Pump Hydro Storage capacities. Leveraging the diverse resource base with potential to become Green Commodity Hub, Andhra Pradesh is exploring strategic partnerships to build green industrial clusters to promote “Sustainable Manufacturing”, as it aspires transitioning to a Decarbonized Economy.

However, realizing these aspirations means addressing significant implementation challenges and strengthened collaboration across sectors and geographies to make a real impact.  

During the session, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy would deliberate on the policies, practices and partnerships to be adapted and scaled to enable companies accelerate the transition to sustainable value chains, even in times of shocks and crisis.
