Camp Instructor Programme proposals
******READ ALL THE FINE PRINT SO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS OPERATING *******

If you are receiving this form, you have made it clear you are interested in participating in making Cool Coderz (name to be changed) an amazing experience by being a part of it!  This is the simplest way for me to get all of the information I need in order to start marketing the camp come March 1st.  Please fill out your details before  February 20th.  As you know, you have the option of working as little as 10 half days (over a 2 week period) to as much as 6 full time weeks (July to mid August) any way you like with as little as a single program repeated.

Cycles are each 2 weeks long with a morning program from 9:00 to 11:30, break for lunch and an afternoon program from 12:30 to 3:00pm.   There are 3 cycles of these 2 week periods:  July 4 to July 15th, July 18th to July 29th, August 1st to August 12th.

This form will have you enter the details for your activities and when you would like to work.  Salary again is based on a number of applications to your camp.  We are advertising throughout Ontario and Quebec this year looking at supporting the expansion.

If you know people interested in working with children online please refer them to me, Peter Chan 514-627-3669 or email at peter@coolcoderz.com.  Reach out to me if you have any questions as well.

BTW.  We need a name change and we have seriously branched out of coding as a focus....any ideas?

What are your activities you would like to prepare?
Here list your activity(ies) that you would like to spend your time doing during your hours.   Create a name for your activity as well as short blurb for marketing your program.  We may rewrite your blurb to better market for you.  If you have multiple activities you would like to market over the time you work, write a blurb about each one.

EX 1.:  Dungeons & Dragons
Are you a warrior?  A half elf wizard?  Maybe you have the personality of a charming entertainer!  Welcome everyone to the event where you become the story.  Taught by master story teller and dungeon master, Big Louie, this event will take you on a multimedia journey online where you and your created character live the adventure of your dreams.  Are you ready to kill the dragon, find the treasure and be admired by your entire village?  Sign up today!

EX 2.:   Cooking for everyone
Whether you are a noob in the kitchen or you love to prepare meals.  This program will teach you how to put together simple meals that your family will love.  Using basic kitchen products (materials to purchase provided upon registration) you will learn how to have fun and feed you and your family becoming a star in the kitchen!  Lets go chefs!  This is open to everyone but a best fit for children in grade 6 and higher.

EX 3.:  Scratch Coding
Never heard of Scratch, never heard of coding?  Have you always wanted to learn how to create your own games?  After this beginner course you will be able to do just that.  You will need a computer (no Ipads or tablets please) and some creativity and the rest you will learn here.  Welcome to the magic that is coding where you control your computer like a wizard and make it do whatever your game requires.  This is a beginner course and not recommended for advanced coders.
What activities would you like to teach online? (Write a short blurb about each one) *
Salary minimum and maximum
We are paying on a sliding scale.  The more kids you have enrolled, the greater your income (beginning at $15.00/hr maxing out at $50.00/hour).  We are offering the following breakdown.  Salary caps for experienced educators will be $50.00/hr, junior educators (still in a University program) will be $40.00/hr and cegep student educators will be capped at $30.00/hr unless arrangements are made with me ahead of time.  Roughly speaking:

3 kids or less: $15.00/hr
4 kids: $20.00/hr
8 kids: $30.00/hr
12 kids: $40.00/hr
15+ kids: $50.00/hr

You can choose what your minimum salary expectation is (if we haven't enough enrolment, we will cancel your class and move students to other programs)

If your activity requires a cap on the number of students as well you can mention that here as well.  Capping your student enrolment will of course cap your maximum earnings.  If the cap is reached your course will be marked closed and new enrolments will not be possible.

Please name your activity(ies) below and details regarding your minimum and maximum enrolments.

ex:  Cooking for everyone (min: 5, max: 10)
ex: d&d (no min.  max: 7)
ex:  Scratch coding (no minimum or maximum)

Enter your courses by name and your enrolment min and max for each below: *
Camp Name Change ($50.00 bonus for the chosen name)
We want to change the name from Cool Coderz to something that is more open and inclusive of the range of activities we are offering.  Although, the options you offer can be any, we are looking for something that captures the following spirit if at all possible:

-Online camp only
-open to all ages grade 4 and up.
-spirit of fun
-friends from all over Canada
-We may continue the activities during the academic year and so any name that lends itself as a camp name as well as an after school program name would be best.
We want to change the name of the camp to encompass a wide range of activities.  A $50.00 bonus for the person whose idea is chosen for the new name.    Separate your ideas with commas.  Enter all your new name ideas here. *
