Registration of Formal Complaint
Information to help you complete this complaint form. Please take the time to read this.

The Sheffield College is committed to providing high quality education in a supportive setting. We want to know about concerns and resolve them quickly. Our Complaints Policy, available from this link: https://www.sheffcol.ac.uk/uploads/The%20Sheffield%20College%20Complaints%20Policy%20%26%20Procedure.docx, aims to ensure that students, parents, carers, employers and other stakeholders know how to make a complaint and that it will be dealt with.

It is advised and important that complaints are dealt with informally wherever possible, so in the first instance please try to resolve any issues directly with the staff member concerned or another relevant staff member, for example a Head of Academy, course tutor, Tutorial Mentor, etc.

If the staff member is unable to resolve the complaint, your matters of concern can be registered on this complaint form.

If you do decide it is appropriate to complete this form, you should think about the following questions which will be asked in Section D of this form:

* Have you spoken to any members of staff already about your complaint? (If not, please do so before continuing with this complaint form.)

* Which members of College staff have you spoken to?

* Tell us about the concerns you have.

* What would make things better for you?

We also ask questions to seek personal information so that we can monitor equality and diversity. The College takes data protection seriously and processes your personal data in line with our obligations under the GDPR and related legislation. More information can be found on the privacy section of our website here: https://www.sheffcol.ac.uk/about-us/privacy-and-cookies
