YARN is a movement of youth individuals and youth-led initiatives that is leveraging regenerative agriculture and agroecology best practices to promote sustainable agrifood systems that align with the landscape restoration, biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation agendas of their National government. Our vision is a world with an agrifood systems based on agroecology, food sovereignty, and sustainable land use that bolsters social and environmental justice.
The Global Goal on Adaptation hosted by the Paris Agreement creates an ya entry point for agrifood systems to be an integral part of the solution to the climate and ecological crisis while strengthening adaptive capacity, improving resilience, and lowering susceptibility to climate change through the transformation of the way we currently grow and consume our food. Thus, our members leverage awareness and capacity building to promote wholesome food production and alleviate rural poverty, aligned with sustainable development goals 1, 2, 13, and 15.
