3000+ Indigenous youth (4,000+ youth, coaches & chaperones) from across Alberta are invited to engage in a week of competitive sports, traditional games, special events, education, and cultural connection!

NEW THIS YEAR!!! Ball Hockey and Golf both have Boys and Girls separate divisions so no more COED!
Basketball gets an Adult Division for birth years 2000-1992 for male and female each! Archery, Athletics (Track & Field), and Canoe/Kayak are back!

NOTE: There is NO REQUIREMENT FOR ATHLETES, COACHES, OR ANYONE ELSE TO BE VACCINATED (for the Covid-19 Vaccine) to participate in the 2022 Alberta Indigenous Games.

Athletes are allowed to compete in multiple sports. Monday August 15th is a break day from all of the major team sports (ie Fastpitch Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Ball Hockey etc...) for one day sports as we encourage all athletes to try out the sports of Beach Volleyball, Canoe/Kayak, Cross Country, Handgames, Rugby 7's which are all free to register and participate in.

If there are not enough registrations for any one division then that specific sport maybe subject to cancellation or modified to play up in a higher division.

All participants under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a chaperone
