All OPEN members, event attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff and volunteers at our events are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for every person.
OPEN is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, ancestry, color, ethnicity, creed, disability, marital or relationship status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, membership (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of any participants in any form. Harassing language and imagery is not appropriate for events, including talks, workshops, networking events, or any event organized by OPEN. OPEN members/event attendees violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from OPEN without a refund at the discretion of the OPEN board.
Harassment includes offensive verbal/nonverbal comments related to age, ancestry, color, ethnicity, creed, disability, marital or relationship status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, membership, physical appearance, body size, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, sustained disruption of talks or other events, and inappropriate physical contact.
