University Rowing NZ will be selecting a men's and women's eight to represent New Zealand Universities to race against the Australian Universities representatives in Brisbane from the 1st to 7th July, with training camps from the 22nd June in Christchurch or Dunedin. The cost to the athletes/coxswains could be up to NZ$3500 - our aim is to make it as cheap as possible, and we will refund any excess funds back to the athletes. The closer we get to the event the clearer the overall costs will be.
Coaches travel and food costs etc will be covered, how ever we can not cover for lost wages.University Rowing would like to appoint two volunter coaches to work with our Men's and Womens eights to race in Australia. The appropriate person would preferably of coached in the university rowing space recently, be able to plan and monitor a training programme leading up to the camp and provides a reasonably sound technical and rigging knowledge. You must be able to work in a team environment with other coaches and a manager.
Your information will be shared with the NZU Executive and NZU selectors.
