By completing and submitting the following application, you are applying for the position of "Film Submission Judge" for the Blackbird Film Festival. This is an unpaid position in which you will be assigned a number of films (mostly short films under 20 minutes) to watch and review each week during the Fall 2023 semester. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:20am to 11:10am, Film Judge interns are required to meet (in-person) to discuss the films they watched the previous week and vote on which films move forward in the process!

FALL JUDGE TERM
► Start Date - August 28th
► End Date - December 8th
► In-Person - Restricted to SUNY Cortland students
► Meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:20am to 11:10am

**VIRTUAL PROTOCOL:
If, for whatever reason, we are not able to meet in-person during the Fall semester, this internship will easily shift online and we will continue ahead virtually for the remainder of the semester - the program will not be cancelled.

Successful Submission Judges should:
1) Be prompt and responsive via email
2) Complete assigned submission reviews in a timely manner
3) Provide thorough and thoughtful feedback for each submission assigned
4) Be professional at all times while reviewing submissions
5) Enjoy watching films!

Required Qualifications:
1) Must be 18+ years old
2) Feel confident using the internet (vimeo, youtube, google docs, etc)
3) Have access to an adequate internet connection suitable for streaming media
4) Able to write fluently in English
