The Compassion Cultivation Training© (CCT) course was designed at Stanford University's Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (C.C.A.R.E.) and offers an evidence-based approach for strengthening our inherent capacity for compassion. It draws on insights and techniques from psychology, neuroscience, and contemplative practice.
The goal of the 8-week CCT program is to help participants uncover their natural ability to face life’s challenges with greater equanimity and relate to self, others, and the world around them from a place of greater understanding, joy, and purpose.
Through experiential exercises, group discussions, and contemplative techniques, participants will gain practical tools to cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness, empathy, and compassion. This inner work is beneficial for self and collective care, and is essential for co-creating more equitable and sustainable systems.
Making compassion a guiding principle and active force throughout society will lead to a more caring and humane world.
