7.45am - Breakfast-School Club Contract
We aim to provide a high quality service which meets the needs of both parents/carers and children. For parents/carers this means knowing that your child is safe and happy in a Club that is reliable and offers a consistent service. For a child this means an environment that is safe, supportive, encouraging, challenging, a place to be with friends and make new ones, try out new activities, to relax, to have fun and enjoy.

Our commitment to you
* The Featherby Breakfast Club sessions are Monday to Friday, term time only. This will not include Staff Development Days or any other school closures.
* The Club is operated by school staff, all of whom have up-to-date security checks and regular safeguarding training.
* Breakfast will be provided at no extra cost. Children will have a choice of breakfast options, including a variety of cereals and porridge, toast and bagels with a variety of toppings and milk/juice and yoghurts.
* Activities will include games and activities as well as more quiet activities such as reading, puzzles and colouring.
Infant children will be escorted to their classes and handed to their classroom Teacher/TA at 8.45am, while junior children make their own way to their classrooms.
* Fees are calculated to cover the staffing costs, facilities and the breakfasts provided and are kept at a minimum.  Should it be necessary to increase the fees of the Breakfast Club, the school will give parents/carers at least one month’s notice of any fee increase.
* In the event of Breakfast Club’s closure due to severe weather parents/carers will be contacted via the emergency telephone number they provided
* The Club is provided to families as an extended service and, as such, should parents/carers or children not adhere to the provision’s terms and conditions – places may be withdrawn.
* Parents/carers are expected to hand their child over to the group supervisor AT 7.45am and not FROM 7.45am.  In order to maximise our staffing levels and to provide as many places as possible (to help support as many working families as possible) the staff member supporting the 7.45am group will be at the junior building reception area at 7.45am, to collect all the group children in that group attending on that day and will then take the children to their club room/zone.  Other staff will not be available to collect and escort late arrivals to a group.  We understand that it may not always be convenient to keep to the time-slot of arrival but we must ask you to adhere to the terms of our offer.
* We reserve the right to cancel the club, if we have staff shortages.  We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible but we may not always be able to cover the group supervisor with other staff if they are absent.

Terms and Conditions of our offer
Parents/carers are expected to book and pay for their child’s place in advance, at a cost of £4 per session per child.  We realise that occasionally, parents/carers may not be able to pay for their child(ren)’s Breakfast Club place(s) in advance – however no more than five unpaid sessions will be permitted.  If a family’s account is in arrears for five sessions, the child(ren)’s place(s) may be withdrawn until the account is brought back into credit.  If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact Mrs Barraclough in the school office to discuss a possible resolution.
Parents/carers are expected to hand their child over to the group supervisor AT 7.45am and not FROM 7.45am, for the safeguarding of the child. Failure to do so will be challenged by school staff and, if parent/carers continue to ignore this rule, the child’s place may be withdrawn.
The same high standards of behaviour that would be expected during the school day are also required of children during Breakfast Club.  If a child’s behaviour during Breakfast Club is felt to be unacceptable, parents/carers may be asked to come to school to discuss the issues and to work with school staff to support the child in improving his/her behaviour.  However, in extreme circumstances the school reserves the right to exclude the child from Breakfast Club activities, either temporarily or permanently, for the wellbeing of other children attending the Club.
It is expected that parents/carers ensure they hand over their child at the agreed time and are not late.  We appreciate that exceptional circumstances sometimes affect that but, if parents regularly drop their child later than the agreed time a meeting with school staff will be arranged and the possibility of the removal of the child’s place will be discussed.
Parents/carers are expected to give their support and encouragement to the aims of the Breakfast Club and to uphold and promote its good name and to ensure that appropriate standards of punctuality, behaviour, discipline and hygiene are maintained.

I understand that I must keep my child's account in credit and, if more than 5 sessions are in arrears, my child's place may be suspended/removed *
I understand that the current fees are £4 per session (per child) *
I understand that if I am regularly late dropping my child then my child's place may be at risk of being withdrawn *
I understand that my child should be handed over to the group supervisor by an adult, via the Junior School Building (Chilham Road entrance) each morning my child attends *
I understand that my child's time to arrive is 7.45am and if I arrive after 7.50am, my child may not be able to take up their breakfast place on that day.  I appreciate that other staff are not available to escort my child to his/her breakfast club group if I arrive late. *
