The Open Championship. High school dancers will have an opportunity to see collegiate teams compete. Additionally, w
e will record your solo and share it with college coaches. You will also receive audio feedback from 3 judges. This kicks off your recruiting journey! Solo cost: $45-50 (depending on registration date).In the afternoon, colleges and universities from the midwest will be in attendance to recruit and represent their programs. Innovative Choreography faculty members will teach technique, a pom sideline, and a hip hop combination. Everything will be taught live at the combine. Participants will have an opportunity to demonstrate each routine for the collegiate coaches.
At the beginning of the day, dancers will interact with coaches through a scheduled mingle session. Additionally, all participants will be provided a list of coaches and contact information. Likewise, all coaches will be provided a list of participants and contact information.
Dancers are encouraged to wear formed-fitting dance attire (tanks, sports bras, etc) and come game day ready! We will have each grade level wear a different color top to distinguish their age:
Freshmen - Grey
Sophomores - Grey
Juniors - Black
Seniors & Current College Students - any color top (please avoid grey and black)
Please pack snacks and water!
All high school dancers will be given paper with their names on it. As you visit the college tables, drop off a piece of paper in the drawing on each table. The more colleges you visit, the more chances you have to win some gear, swag, prizes, and awards! Drawing will occur during the Combine Wrap Up at the end of the day.
