2019 Aquaculture Video Competition
High school students are invited to submit a 2-3 minute video that addresses the theme: “Hawaiʻi Aquaculture: A Tradition of Navigating with Innovation, Technology, and Culture.”

Deadline for videos extended to Friday, December 6, 2019, 5:00 PM HST
 
Videos can address various aspects of aquaculture within the theme above. Questions addressed could include, but are not limited to: What is the tradition of aquaculture in Hawaiʻi?; How does aquaculture contribute to a sustainable food supply in Hawaiʻi?; What role does science play in aquaculture? What role has indigenous or local knowledge played in aquaculture in Hawaiʻi? The competition accepts videos of any genre including documentaries, animation, short interview, and historical, among other film genres.

The University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program (HawaiʻiSea Grant) will have the right to publish or otherwise duplicate any video entered in the contest, along with the author’s name, without payment to the author.
