Please note that that following topics must be covered at some point between 1st- 12th grades. Would you like to roll any of these into the main subjects listed above this year? (If yes, I will place them under their appropriate subjects.)
The substantial equivalent of 180 days and 900 hours (990 for grades 7-12) must be completed each year. These days and hours can be counted however you wish - weekends and holidays can count if you so choose and hours do NOT have to be done between the hours of 9-3. Do you agree?

An IHIP is an agreement between you and your school district about what you plan to do with your child for the year. I can help word your IHIP but, ultimately, the core of the content must come from you and you must be comfortable with what the IHIP says before submitting it to your school district. Please indicate here that you understand this: *

The state laws regarding homeschooling are universal across the state of NY. (http://www.p12.nysed.gov/part100/pages/10010.html). Regardless, there are a few school districts in NY who try to push the boundaries of what they can require from homeschooling families. If your paperwork gets sent back with requests from your district, I will do my best to inform you of whether what they are asking for is within the bounds of the state regulations. If it is, I will make any corrections necessary at no additional cost to you. If the request(s) are not in bounds, how you proceed will be up to you. I will do my best to help you with out of bounds requests but I make no guarantee of being able to make edits that fulfil such a request. Please indicate here that you understand this: *

An annual assessment must be submitted with the 4th quarter report each year. For grades 1-3, this can be a narrative assessment, no exam required. For grades 4-8, you may submit a narrative assessment every other year and in the opposite year, you must submit an exam score. In grades 9-12 an exam score is required every year. Your district will send you a list of acceptable exams (I suggest the CAT exam). The administration and submission of any exam is your responsibility, though I will do my best to advise you on any questions you may have. Please indicate here that you understand: *
