Pack 1666 - New Scout Information
Welcome to Pack 1666! We encourage you to read through our New Scout/Family Guide which should hopefully answer any questions you may have.

Our Pack primarily includes children and families from Cedar Lane Elementary School and Belmont Station Elementary School, however, we currently have children from 5 different elementary schools and homeschooled students enrolled in our Pack....we welcome everyone!

Our scouting year typically runs from August-May, following the school year. During our May Pack meeting, all scouts "rank up" to their next level. Scouts who join in the middle of the year may need to finish up requirements at home and your Den Leader can assist you with anything your scout may have missed.

Cub Scouting is organized by Dens (specific grade level small groups of 6-10 children) that make up a Pack (all scouts in grades K-5).  Den meetings are typically held 1-2 times a month at a time that is convenient for the Den Leader and the families in the Den. Pack meetings are held once a month - these may be on the 3rd Wednesday of the month or may be on another date/time for a special event (camping trip, hike, special presentation).

Our Pack is led entirely by volunteers so the more you are involved, the better the experience is for your child! Each grade level Den has a leader who fills out an application, completes a background check, and has access to program training materials. Other Pack Volunteers help with special community service events, coordinating camping trips and other events, and organizing our fundraising program. Even if you don't know a thing about scouts, we can find a place for you.  The more parents involved, the better the experience is for ALL our scouts!
