Consent form: 'Effects of playing Pokemon Go on everyday life'
Dear participant,

You are invited to participate in a survey about the game Pokemon Go. Participation in this study takes place on-line and entails questions about your socio-economic status, habits of playing Pokemon Go, life satisfaction, and social interaction. Participation will have no immediate or direct benefits for you, but the results of this research will allow to understand the game's effects on players. Participation is voluntary, without any obligations for you and you will not receive any financial reward. As compensation for your time, we will conduct a prize draw. That is, a voucher for Poke coins in the value of USD 10,- will be given per 100 participants.

All data will be treated with confidentiality and will be anonymised. At no time will we ask for your identity to ensure that at no time during the process of data analysis and dissemination of results your identity could be exposed. We are not interested in individual answers and will analyse the data of the sample as a whole. We intend to publish the results from the current study in specialised journals and at scientific events. The data collected will only be accessed by the researchers associated with the project and stored for five years. After that period, all data will be deleted.

Participation in this data collection poses no risk to the participant. Feelings of embarrassment or awkwardness might arise when answering some of the questions. Participants are free to withdraw from participation at any time. There will be no negative consequences from withdrawal.

At any time, participants are free to contact the researchers with questions by email who are obliged to address the questions.
