The Penn Wood Foundation will award scholarships to graduating seniors at the June 2024 Commencement Ceremony. Please check the scholarships you are applying for. You may apply for more than one.
Deadline is May 10, 2024.
The following are the submission requirements for the Penn Wood Foundation Scholarships:
- Applicant must be cleared for graduation by a guidance counselor.
- Applicant must be pursuing higher education at a certified college, university, technical school or military service.
Scholarships available are (detailed description are detailed in Section 2):
- Penn Wood Foundation Scholarship ($500)
- Penn Wood Foundation Julian V. Falana Business Scholarship ($500)
- Penn Wood Foundation Vito C. Macri Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)
- Penn Wood Foundation Thomas and Jane Clark Memorial Scholarship ($500)
Scholarship funds must be used by or before February 2025 or the award/balance will be forfeited.
Applicant must submit an essay answering the following:
Based on your experience within the William Penn School District and taking into consideration your personal and educational goals, how would you envision yourself helping a student in a similar position in 5-10 years? What programs would you implement? What initiatives would you support? How would you get involved to help students achieve their goals and succeed?
