Hollywood Fringe 2021 Sponsored Award Application
This has changed from past years with input from our ACCESS Committee and the Fringe community at-large at our 2019 Post-Fringe Town Hall and other subsequent roundtables. Please read our blogpost all about sponsored awards if you haven't already before applying to ensure you are all up to date at https://support.hollywoodfringe.org/hc/en-us/articles/115000016492-SPONSORING-A-FRINGE-AWARD

Sponsored Awards are presented by outside organizations to commend excellence in a number of categories. These awards tend to be more specific than the community awards and may include monetary gifts or an extension to a show's run.

Winners are announced at the awards ceremony along with the community awards.

We encourage all participants to think about equity while creating these awards. That means seeing a variety of shows from different perspectives; whether that be from the ethnic, cultural, racial, intellectually or physically disabled, D/deaf, and the LGBTQ+ communities. The sponsored awards should reflect the diversity of the Fringe Community.

I have read and understand the conditions of sponsoring award (you can find the conditions here) *
Name of Organization *
Name, phone and email of main contact at the organization for this award for the Fringe staff *
Name and email of main contact at the organization for this award for the Fringe participants *
What is the name of the proposed award? Please refrain from using a superlative such as “best of”, “pick of” or “greatest” along with the term Fringe. Ideally, the word “fringe” is not included in the title at all. Awards should be branded for the sponsoring organization, not the Hollywood Fringe Festival. *
Description of the award for potential applicants *
What does the winner get? This does not need to be financial, but it is encouraged to offer something to take the show to the next level (including a donation of time/expertise/in-kind offers vs monetary award). *
What qualifications will applicants need to meet in order to apply for the award (i.e. specific categories, equity requirements, etc) *
How will the award winners be chosen? *
How many shows can your committee commit to attending? *
How will you choose your awards committee? How many people will participate on your committee? How many will be from outside your organization? *
Can you please give us a 5-6 point plan you will implement to ensure that your committee is diverse and represents the full Fringe community in regards to race, ethnicity, gender, physically and intellectually disabled, D/deaf, and LGBTQ+ diversity. *
