Want to make a difference in the HLCFA organization and the wider HLS community? Looking to network and build relationships within the HLS community? Need to build your resume in a unique, hands-on way?

We are looking for motivated members of the HLS community who are eager to be involved with the Harvard Law Couples and Families Association (HLCFA) in the 2024-25 school year.

We aim to have a diverse board with members from a variety of backgrounds, family structures, lifestyles, and experiences. Harvard Law students AND partners/spouses are encouraged to apply!

Available Positions and Duties

*Positions are to be determined by Executive board. Students and non-students may be assigned to act as co-participants in each role.


Co-President

1.      Act as liaison between HLCFA and Dean of Students Office 

2.      Coordinate board meetings 

3.      Oversee leadership team 


Treasurer

1.      Maintain budget 

2.      Facilitate financial correspondence with Dean of Students office 

3.      Manage club reimbursement procedures 

4.      Oversee the use of club debit cards and club bank account 

 

Communications Coordinator

1.      Create and send out club newsletters/emails

2.      Manage social media pages

3.      Take pictures of events  


Event Planner/General Board

1.      As a group, plan about four events per semester (two formal, two casual)

2.      Advertise and promote events to reach largest audience possible 

3.      Schedule and reserve event spaces  

4.      Serve as points of reference for general members of the organization
