Virtual Judging

Virtual from home or office | May be Individual or Team— (Interested parties from corporations, industry, educational institutions, and science organizations may choose to recruit colleagues to judge as a team, or teams. It is up to you how you set that up! The Academy provides guidance and materials.)
You choose when within the allotted time frame it works best with your schedule/s to judge projects. Individuals and individual Team members each judge 10 - 15 projects. Time commitment to judge 10 - 15 projects is approximately 2 to 4 hours.
The Academy provides simple, easy to follow instructions and online project category judging rubrics and score submission forms.
Who is Eligible to Judge:
- EDUCATORS, PRE-SERVICE EDUCATORS, RETIRED EDUCATORS who do not have students participating in the regional fair may judge K-12 projects. High school educators may recruit teams of high school students (See eligibility criteria below) to judge Elementary Division projects.
- HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS who are not family members of students participating in the Elementary Division (Grades K-5) may judge projects entered in the Elementary Division. High school students may choose to recruit a team of student judges in grades 9-12.
- Students! Need Service, or Community Volunteer Hours?!! Keep track of your hours and The Academy will provide verification!
- COLLEGE STUDENTS, GRAD STUDENTS, DOCTORAL STUDENTS, POST-DOCS
- INTERESTED PARTIES AND PROFESSIONALS FROM: corporations, industry, educational institutions and institutions of higher ed, science and community organizations, who do not have a family member participating in the K-12 fair.
- COMMUNITY MEMBERS, ALL (HIGH-SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS AND OLDER) INTERESTED IN INQUIRY-BASED SCIENCE
The Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair and its Honors Division is one of the nation's largest regional free K-12 Science Fairs and a STEM for ALL Students initiative of The Academy of Science of St. Louis. The Academy of Science - St. Louis regional K-12 Science Fair and its Honors Division is a Society for Science affiliated Fair.
