This section is for principals seeking reimbursement to their school for costs of professional development opportunities for their staff members intended for the purpose of improving their professional practice in relation to the Teaching Quality Standard, their school plan, or district priorities. (Principals seeking personal professional development opportunities should fill out the application in Section A – Professional Development Fund for Teachers).

Applicants will receive reimbursement for receipts submitted up to a maximum of approved amount.

The PD Committee reserves the right to approve partial funds requested.

Any PD event that occurs after June 15 may not be processed/reimbursed until September.

PD/Tuition Reimbursement must be requested within the school year that the event/course was completed.

Applicants shall submit reimbursement documents within 60 days of attending the PD event. Failure to submit your receipts within this timeframe may result in non-reimbursement.

Any applications submitted after June 20th will wait for next year's committee to review mid-September.

All out of province travel requires both principal and Superintendent approval.

Teachers who attend PD events through ‘Administrator PD Funds’ are still eligible to apply to the ‘PD fund for Teachers’ for the maximum amount
