The Press Photographers of Greater Los Angeles along with Nikon Professional Services would like to invite all of its members to a “Business of Photography” seminar with Todd Bigelow.

**Nikon will be offering free sensor cleanings during the Todd Bigelow seminar and Nikon Professional Services will be onsite to demonstrate the latest products. Camera drop off for cleanings will be from 9-9:30am.

Todd Bigelow is a Los Angeles based freelance photographer that has handled regular assignment work for over twenty five years from the world’s leading publications, non profits and corporations including Sports Illustrated, ESPN, TIME,Newsweek, Smithsonian, People, NYT Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, Costco, James Irvine Foundation and more.

He is the founder of The Business of Photography Workshop, where he delves deeply into the many business issues freelancers face on a daily basis including analyzing photo contracts, archive man- agement, client development, licensing for revenue, copyright, battling infringement and more.
Todd was the recipient of the 2019 NPPA Clifton Edom Award for his work motivating and inspiring others to reach new heights.


Analyzing Real Client Contracts & Rates/Terms 
Todd will lead a discussion revolving around the heavy reliance on contracts by publications and what that means for the freelance photographer. We will analyze real client contracts from publications, non-profits and corporations in an effort to raise awareness of their impact while guiding freelancers on terms to avoid and tactics for negotiation.
 We will also discuss standard rates and terms offered by publications, non-profits and corporations as well.
