UNA-LA Refugee & Immigrant Rights          Art & Story Submission Form
The United Nations Association- Los Angeles Area Chapter is collecting works of art and personal stories this fall to accompany its October 24th UN Day event. The event will be attended by citizens, government officials, and organizations throughout the Los Angeles area. For more information, visit https://www.unalosangeles.org/

We will highlight work from immigrants and refugees, and allies that support their rights and equitable inclusion. All submissions need to have a connection to the event's theme and you will be asked to describe that in your Artist Statement below. Artwork will be multi-media in nature so we encourage your submission to be one of a range of formats including, but not limited to,: poetry, short story (personal or fiction), painting, photograph, musical performance, dance, etc. Submissions are restricted to 1000 words (if written) and 3 minute (if video).

We will be doing a review of submissions on October 19 and selected artists will be notified by October 20 if they have been chosen. Submissions will be accepted after the 19th however on a rolling basis. Your submission may be featured on our social media channels before and after the event. By submitting your work, you authorize UNA-LA to use it in print and digital formats.

Proceeds from the event will donated to Interfaith Refugee & Immigration Services (IRIS). To learn more about IRIS, visit: https://iris.ladiocese.org/
