What: Homeschool Harmonies Singing Group ~ Choir ~ led by Lisa Dew
Who: All ages welcome, parents too! ***SORRY CLASS CANCELLED FOR TERM ONE***
When: Thursdays 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, 8 weeks from 18 February 2021
Where: HASCA Hub (downstairs Rendle Room), YMCA, 5 Akoranga Drive, Northcote, North Shore
How much: (term fee is 8 weeks)
$45.00 per person for non-members
$40.00 per person for HASCA members
$35.00 per person for additional siblings & participating parents
* Fees are payable to Lisa when requested & prior to the start of term.
Other: Key Curricular Learning Area [AR] The Arts
Lisa is a passionate homeschooling mum of three, a true creative, and a talented singer and performer!
Students and parents are welcome ... and should be able to hold a tune. (: Lisa will provide a soundtrack of each individual part for students to listen to and sing along with so that they can practice at home.
These are not singing lessons, but Lisa will be teaching some basics like breathing technique and vocal warm-ups etc. Students will learn to hold their part while other parts are being sung around them.
Lisa will try to cover a range of different styles of music. Some modern and some older songs, all with good clean, positive lyrics.

Reference: (26/01/20) For the last 2 years, my family has had the enjoyment of being part of the Homeschool Harmonies, a choir led by Lisa Dew. Lisa has provided an environment for my ‘not so confident’ singers, to try out their voices and learn to love singing. Her relaxed and encouraging approach has provided a platform for learning that has enabled us to try different parts, beyond melodies of new and classic songs, and as a result, we now have singers at home who love to sing.
