Constellations: joining the dots on grief and loss
Constellations is a new network of people who want to create ways for people to come together around grief and loss in their local community.

We'd love for you to join us to test out new ways of connecting, collaborating and commemorating the different losses we experience in our lives within our communities, as well as bringing local people together to support each other around grief and loss.

We’re looking for a diverse group of people across the UK who are keen to connect with others in their local area, their community group or street around themes of grief and loss. You should have some connections already in your community, however big or small but your energy and enthusiasm is what we're really looking for. No prior experience or skill set is needed, just a desire to support your community and be able to commit to the sessions.

You'll join our free learning programme and learn as a collective how we can support each other with a more positive grief and loss culture. We are hoping to learn together on how we can support each other and nourish our communities, when our grieving spaces and rituals have been taken away from us because of the pandemic restrictions.

In return, The Loss Project will offer you 4 x 2 hour training sessions plus 3 thematic monthly learning & reflection sessions where we can learn from and support each other, as well as a number of physical and digital resources. This project will run between November 2020 and end of February 2021. All our sessions will run via Zoom.

One of our previous workshop participants told us:
"It has been good to connect, to know others are working to a common aim and that we all have different skills and expertise that appear to complement each other. The workshops have allowed individuals to mix, listen and speak. I feel we are a team which allows ideas to flow without judgement which turn encourages further ideas. We are looking to ourselves to know what helped support our grief and what did not, whilst acknowledging the many different faces of grief. We work from people not services. Thinking creatively about how grief is supported outside of services, from our own strengths and community. I have personally felt encouraged and included which has only strengthened my resolve to look for ways to connect in the community. It has given me confidence to re- engage with ideas differently. I very glad to have taken myself out of my comfort zone to be involved!"

*NB we are asking for a commitment to the sessions so that we can create a community of like minded people, all who want to learn together- including us!
