Veteran's Day Parade 2019
EVENT: The 100th Annual Tucson Veterans Day Parade
THEME: 100 Years of Honoring Veterans
Veteran's Day Weekend is a busy time of service to recognize Veteran's who have served our Country. Each year our Scouts participate in the parade downtown. Monday, November 11, is the Veteran's Day Parade. This year all the Scouting units will be placed together to show their support of our Veteran's.
We will be decorating an SUV and trailer, which seats about 30 people in it, so those who wish to ride instead of walk can. The staging location is being determined and will be sent out when known. The SUV and trailer will be in the staging area by 8:30 a.m. We will need some families to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to decorate the SUV and trailer. The parade will start at approximately 10:00 a.m.
This is a fun event for the scouts to show their support of the Veteran's who have served our country. Please RSVP so we know who to expect.
If you have any patriotic decorations that can be used on the SUV and Trailer to decorate please let us know.
Parking near the event can be difficult. It is best to carpool.
Dress accordingly to be in the sun for several hours. Hats, long sleeves, sunscreen, and water bottles are advisable.
