Aloha High School Swim Team Handbook

This handbook is created to have a clear understanding of expectations from all parties.  Although long, it really helps to lay everything out so we are all on the same page. Thank you for your understanding.  We also acknowledge that not everything is black and white and will do our best to work with you and your swimmer for the best experience.

My acknowledgement  below indicates that I have read and understand the expectations, policies, requirements, and rules for team participation as outlined in the 2022-2023 Aloha High Swim Team Handbook. This acknowledges the handbook as a whole and specifically: (please read full explanations in handbook of the following)

·      No Hazing tolerated or possible suspension and or removal from the team and possible disciplinary actions by the school administration.

·      No Alcohol or Drug usage is tolerated or suspension from the team that can lead to removal from the team and possible disciplinary actions by the school administration.

·      No cyber-bulling tolerated or possible suspension and or removal from the team and possible disciplinary actions by the school administration.

·      Transportation from practice is the responsibility of the family and must be done within one half hour of practice or home meet ending and 15 minutes after arriving back at Aloha from an away meet or possible suspension and or removal from the team

·      It is mandatory that all swimmers have a full water bottle at the beginning of all practices or they will not be able to practice and can result in an unexcused absence.

·      It is the responsibility of the swimmer/parents to notify the head coach if ill prior to a meet ASAP. It takes hours to build a line up and we need to allow time for adjustments.

·      Attendance is mandatory to all practices. Unexcused absences can result in suspension from competing and possible removal from the team. There is a make up practice on Friday mornings that is mandatory for all absences excused or not.

- No athlete is allowed to participate in practice or a meet if they have an unexcused absence or unexcused tardy ( this is a school policy and we get daily attendance reports)

Please note that this acknowledgement is required for a Swim Team Member to compete. This is mandatory in order to compete and participate in the season. Your swimmer will also be required to acknowledge this is their questionaire as well.

By typing in your name and the date, you are acknowledging that you have gone over the handbook and except the statements as written.  Thank you

As a member of the Aloha High School Swim Team, it is my pledge to embrace the team missions, pillars and philosophy by demonstrating them in the way I treat my teammates, coaches and competitors, the way I accelerate my potential in training, academics and how I take these skills and use them in my everyday life away from school and the pool. It is my goal to always work harder and smarter. I will keep accelerating my potential in all walks of my life and never settle for just okay. I will work every day to improve myself through training, discipline and attitude. I understand that as a team member, I represent Aloha High School Swim at all times; practice, meets, school, home and in our community. I will be respectful to my teammates, coaches, competitors and officials. I also understand that it is my responsibility to find a balance between academics and swimming that will bring me success in both areas. Please type your name and the date as an acceptance of this statement.
