Join us for this community class to learn how to confidently intervene in life-threatening aquatic emergencies! This course is held through Lifeguard-Pro by an approved instructor. This is a blended learning course meaning that you will have to complete an online course prior to attending the in-person skills session. Classes will be limited to six (6) people. Masks are REQUIRED upon arrival and while on the pool deck with other participants.


Course Description. This certification will train you to supervise a swimming pool of 12-feet depth or less. Note, 99% or more of all swimming pools are 12-feet deep or less.

Course Includes: This course is a full Lifeguard certification course, which includes all the following courses:
-Lifeguard-Shallow Pool (max depth 5 ft.)
-Lifeguard-Swimming Pool (max depth 12 ft.)
-AHA CPR - BLS for the Healthcare Provider
-AHA HeartSaver First Aid


Course Prerequisites. Prior to enrolling in this course, the certification candidate must be able to satisfy the following requirements:
-15 Years of age or older (with minors consent form for those under 18);
-Ability to swim 300 meters (325 yards) without stopping (there is no time limit);
-Ability to tread water for five minutes; and,
-Ability to dive to a depth of four meters (12-feet).

Full Certification: $300 for JEA members, $350 for JEA guests
Recertification: $150 for JEA members, $200 for JEA guests
